Adhityani (Dhitri) Putri is a Program Officer with the Global Electricity Initiative at Climate Imperative Foundation, where she develops grantmaking strategies and portfolios to support the accelerated transition from coal to clean in emerging markets around the world.
She was previously the Policy and Engagement Specialist at the Secretariat for Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) in Indonesia working closely with the Government of Indonesia and the International Partners Group countries to unlock more than $20 billion U.S. dollars in pledged energy transition financing for the power sector. She led and drafted policy discussions, developed a just transition framework and carried out strategic communications and high-level engagement.
Dhitri founded and served as the inaugural Executive Director at Yayasan Indonesia CERAH, a policy research and strategic communications hub on clean energy and sustainability in Indonesia. CERAH is an affiliate of the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), a network of climate communicators and strategists housed by the Meliore Foundation, dedicated to advancing narratives globally to advance ambitious climate action. Parallel to her role as Executive Director, she also served as GSCC’s Indonesia Lead to provide Indonesia-specific insights and support global and thematic work relevant to Indonesia.
With over 15 years of experience, Dhitri has developed a specialization in climate policy and communications, with a focus on energy transition. She previously worked at the European Climate Foundation, Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), the ANU Climate Change, Winrock International, and Greenpeace Southeast Asia. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist at Reuters and the BBC.
Dhitri holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universitas Indonesia and a Master’s degree in Climate Change Economics and Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy, the Australian National University, Canberra. She resides in Jakarta, Indonesia.
