Lauren is the Director of Communications at Climate Imperative, overseeing external relations, communications strategy, and media engagement across the foundation’s work.
Prior to Climate Imperative, Lauren served as the U.S. lead for the Global Strategic Communications Council, where she supported communications and media efforts for non-profit and think tank partners on topics such as the global implications of U.S. federal policy and elections. Her particular focus has been on geopolitical dynamics and international climate policy discussions within the UNFCCC space, providing guidance and expertise to inform media coverage.
Lauren previously worked at Climate Nexus with the Special Projects team, where she managed projects relating to international policy, public health, and subnational action, as well as supporting the fundraising and build-out of new initiatives. She also led Climate Nexus’ work across agricultural issues, co-chairing a coalition of civil society organizations focused on farming’s climate implications and managing editorial work on key moments such as the release of the IPCC Land Report.
Lauren holds a B.A. from Boston College and an M.P.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she specialized in sustainability and agriculture. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado, where she enjoys skiing, live music, and rock climbing.
