Transportation Senior Initiative Director
SatKartar Khalsa is the Transportation Senior Initiative Director for Climate Imperative, leading efforts to cut transportation emissions, accelerate vehicle electrification, and support an equitable transition to global clean mobility.
She has 15 years of experience developing and implementing strategies in climate philanthropy. SatKartar has shaped and helped lead some of the largest philanthropic climate initiatives, including accelerating transportation electrification, shifting the global power sector from coal to clean energy, and transitioning away from oil and gas.
In her prior role at Tempest Advisors, she managed portfolios including clean power, transportation, oil and gas, and global climate initiatives. Earlier in her career, SatKartar was a management consultant at Accenture focused on the energy and natural resources industries, worked at Stanford University, and in the private sector on corporate social responsibility.
SatKartar has MBA and M.A. degrees from Yale University and an undergraduate degree in economics.
