Shannon Miller
Program Associate, Global Electricity Initiative
Shannon Miller is a Program Associate working on the Global Electricity Initiative. Prior to joining CI, Shannon served in multiple climate-related roles for the Government of Jamaica in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank. Most notably, her work supported and informed policies to advance the design and implementation of climate change adaptation and conservation solutions in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Shannon is experienced in analyzing and delivering research on local and global policy issues. She has also worked with various organizations to advance innovation and investing in the health, social justice and environmental fields.
Shannon holds an MA in Global Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin with a specialization in Climate, Energy and Environmental Policy. There, her policy interests included climate change adaptation, global environmental security and clean energy tech and decarbonization. She also holds a B.Sc. in Geology and Geography from the University of the West Indies, Mona in Kingston, Jamaica.
She now lives in Washington, D.C. with her ginger and white cat, Olly.
