Suyog Padgaonkar
Program Officer, Industrial Initiative
Suyog Padgaonkar is a Program Officer for the Industrial Initiative at Climate Imperative, where he develops strategies and manages grant portfolios to reduce emissions in the industrial sector at speed and scale. He is passionate about advancing technologies and policies for an equitable, clean, and sustainable economy that benefits local communities.
Suyog comes to Climate Imperative from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where he led initiatives for industrial innovation and decarbonization. Prior to that, he managed a portfolio of regional industrial clusters and advised the development of local innovation ecosystems at the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Before his time serving in the federal government, Suyog researched policies to accelerate the clean energy transition. He earned his B.S. in chemistry and B.A. in music from the University of Miami and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Northwestern University.
