April Suwalsky Khan is Manager, Grants & Operations at Climate Imperative. She has more than 15 years of experience spanning grantmaking, philanthropic advising and operations, education, and community-based planning. Most recently, April worked at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative where she initially was Grants Manager for the Education Initiative and later managed a grantmaking portfolio focused on educational research and measurement as a Senior Program Officer. Prior to CZI, she was a Senior Philanthropic Advisor at Tides Foundation where she advised donor clients and facilitated grantmaking in diverse issue areas, including climate and ocean conservation.
April holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Barnard College, and a Master of City & Regional Planning degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and an active volunteer in her community.
